This year’s Nanenane Farmers’ Day exhibitions were a season to remember for Farmbase Limited, with high-profile visits, national recognition, and a string of awards across Dodoma, Morogoro, Lindi, and Zanzibar.
The season opened on 1 August in Morogoro, when Hon. Judith Salvio Kapinga, Minister for Industry and Trade, visited the Farmbase stand at the official exhibition opening. She was received by Managing Director Mr. Suleiman Nassor Msellem, who presented her with a Matabi knapsack sprayer as a token of the partnership between government and the private sector in growing Tanzania’s agriculture and industry.
A day later in Dodoma, Hon. Agnes Meena, Permanent Secretary for Livestock and Fisheries, visited the Farmbase stand and received a sample of DKO, the company’s termite-control solution, from Marketing Manager Mr. Suleiman Seif Suleyum.
Away from the exhibition grounds, the Tanzania Cotton Board (TCB) recognized Mr. Msellem as a supplier of the Matabi Super Green 16L Knapsack Sprayer — and in Morogoro, the team shared a memorable moment with former President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, who visited the exhibition.
In Lindi, Dr. Fabian M. Madele, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Livestock, toured the Farmbase stand at Ngongo, hosted by Mtwara Branch Manager Mr. Azan Soud and livestock specialist Dr. Salum Othman.
The season closed with silverware:
  • 1st Place — Southern Zone (Agricultural Tools and Inputs Companies),
  • 1st Place — Livestock and Fisheries Services in Morogoro
  • 3rd Place — Agricultural Tools in Morogoro. The Southern Zone trophy was presented to Mr. Msellem by Prof. Palamagamba John Kabudi, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Farmbase thanks its leadership, staff, and customers for the trust that made these wins possible.
