Farmbase Limited is a private agrochemical company registered under the Tanzania Companies Act of 2002. We are one of the leading private companies dealing in the formulation, importation and selling of farm inputs, agrochemicals, veterinary drugs and seeds.
In 1999, Farmbase was dealing only with acaricides, insecticides and rodenticides. Those early years were defined by a sharp focus on livestock pest control and products like Paranex 100EC, Rat-cide and Akheri Powder became household names among Tanzania’s cattle and livestock farming communities.
In 2011, Farmbase made a decisive step forward by entering the agrochemical business. More than 15 new products were introduced to the Tanzanian market, transforming the company from a specialist acaricide supplier into a comprehensive agricultural solutions provider covering crop protection, weed control, disease management, and soil nutrition.
Today, Farmbase is a leading manufacturer and distributor of acaricides, insecticides, agrochemicals and veterinary pharmaceuticals in Tanzania with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, an in-house research and development laboratory and a nationwide network of offices and regional sales representatives.
